


Kids Term Baking Classes
A beginners baking class for kids who enjoy being in the kitchen and wish to extend their experience and skill set!
These classes will help indiviguals gain confidence in the kitchen, bakers will be able to apply their skills at home.
Offering techniques in baking preparations in both sweet and savoury. Measuring, mixing, recipe reading, appliance use & lots more! Recipies are included along with a denim apron, baking kit and recipe folder to take home each week along with their baked goods.
Term 2 menu
Class 1 ~ Black forest chocolate cupcakes
Moist chocolate cupcakes stuffed with a cherry filling, buttercream icing and cherry toppings.
Class 2 ~ Jam drop cookies
An assortment of vanilla shortbread cookies with a range of sticky fillings. Finished with dusted with icing sugar.
Class 3 ~ Lolly cake & rocky road slice
Chunky and decadent rocky road filled with rich chocolate, marshmallow pieces, malt biscuits and peanuts. Bakers will also prep and assemble a lolly cake roll each to take home to set.
Class 4 ~ Teriyaki chicken sushi rolls
Students will learn how to prep, cook and assemble ingredients into a sushi roll. Starting with seaweed sheets, sushi rice, chicken, carrot and cucumber onto a Japanese mat.
Class 5 ~ Chocolate afghans with ganache & Walnuts
Bakers will measure and mix together their cookie dough recipe and bake their afghans into a crunchy and soft texture. Finished off with icing and walnut toppings.
Class 6 ~ Lemon meringue pie
Students will line a round pie dish with sweet pastry, after blind baking they will fill with a citrus lemon curd and top the pie off with a marshmellow meringue.
Class 7 ~ Homemade dumplings
A pork mince and vegetable filling will be prepared and cooked. Students will fill each dumpling wrapper correctly, then sealed and dispensed into hot water and finished off in a fry pan for a golden crisp texture.
Class 8 ~ Upside down pear & Cinnamon sponge cake
Caramelized pears & sauce layered into a cake dish and topped with a light and fluffy sponge cake which will be flipped once baked.
Class 9 ~ Red velvet whoopie pies with cream cheese frosting
A soft red velvet cookie sandwich measured, mixed and piped on trays to baked. The frosting to sandwich the cookie cakes cakes is make with a Creamy cream cheese buttercream.
Class 9 ~ Slab cake party
To celebrate the final class of the term, the students will ice and decorate a Slab cake. The theme for this will be a surprise!
